Welcome to the Aberdeen University Men's Hockey Club!
Founded in 1903, the Men’s Hockey Club is one of the most vibrant sports clubs at Aberdeen University. With 3 teams playing in 3 different leagues (BUCS and regional weekend leagues), there is no shortage of game time for players of all and any ability. This includes a development team so players who have never even picked up a hockey stick are more than welcome to come and join the fun!
If the physical aspect of the club really isn’t for you, you may be interested in joining an especially elite part of the club and becoming a social member. These members are regularly seen leading the charge on our weekly Wednesday night out visiting our club headquarters, the Kirkgate Bar, and more often than not, spotted cheering on our teams from the side-line. As well as our weekly night out, we have a number of the University’s most notorious socials where we collaborate with the Women’s hockey club to make some truly unforgettable nights!
To cap off each year in style, the club goes international on an annual tour. Previous tours include trips to Barcelona, Prague, Munich and Lisbon. This is not a week to be missed, guaranteed to produce some weird and wonderful moments.
