About us

Aberdeen University Consulting Group's (AUCG) goal is to prepare students of all disciplinary backgrounds for careers in consulting or related fields. 

 

Achievements

Since its founding in 2018, AUCG has managed to obtain:

  • the runner-up position in the Scottish Case Competition (2020)
  • the FIRST PLACE in the UK Case Competition (2020)
  • has been shortlisted for the National Societies and Volunteering Awards (2020). 

This summer, we collaborated with the Edinburgh University Consulting Club and small and medium enterprises to offer real-life consulting experiences to our members and support businesses during the pandemic.

 

Programmes

AUCG offers two main programmes to its members:

  1. Career-focused programme running weekly. This includes workshops such as cracking interview case studies, simulations of fit and case interviews, analyzing business frameworks and even mini case competitions.

  2. Advanced study group seeking to prepare and challenge highly capable students to participate in local and international case competitions. These seminars are focused on demystifying and structuring cases within competitions. We also guide the students in the process of developing their team working, presentation and other necessary skills to become strong, well rounded candidates for case competitions. With the competition season only having started, this year's team has already achieved a great accomplishment: the first place at the UK stage of Solve! The Global Case Challenge.
