Welcome to anyone who is interested in Aerospace!
As a society, we have the goal of constructing an autonomous unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) that can fly and that we can improve upon. We are trying to design and manufacture it from the bottom up.
Due to the nature of the project, engineering students from all disciplines are highly welcome as aerospace is an interdisciplinary domain. Even if you are not in engineering/computing science and are simply interested in aerospace, you are more than welcome to join. The more people in our society, the further we can go.
We will have weekly lab/workshop sessions where all team members will be actively working on the UAV. Apart from that, we will plan regular meetings where we will be discussing the current state of affairs, project’s obstacles, ideas and deciding on the deadlines.
Furthermore, we will host several other events throughout the year for all members both social and educational as we see fit.
This is a great opportunity for students not only to gain hands-on experience in R&D, design, and manufacturing processes but also to practice critical thinking and teamwork. Members will be able to expand their knowledge in aircraft manufacture and design.
Aside from gaining practical experience (which is highly valued by employers), we aim for our members to have fun and enjoy the experience of building an UAV and learn more about aerospace.
